It Starts with a Bottle
It sounds almost impossible, but the high-performance fabric in some of your favourite Coldstream pieces began life as plastic bottles. Standard 600ml PET plastic bottles — the kind that would otherwise end up in landfill or, worse, our oceans.

To make a single performance riding jacket, approximately 15 to 25 recycled plastic bottles are used. A base layer requires around 4 to 5. Those numbers add up fast — and every bottle diverted from waste is a step in the right direction. |
This is what makes Eco-C Stream more than just eco-friendly riding wear. It's a genuine solution to one of the world's most pressing environmental challenges, built into every stitch.
How Plastic Becomes Performance Fabric
The process starts with collected plastic bottles, cleaned, crushed and broken down before being spun into recycled polyester fibre — known as rPET. Coldstream uses a chemical recycling method which works at a molecular level, producing fibres that genuinely rival virgin polyester in quality and performance. Every piece is certified by the Global Recycling Standard (GRS) — one of the most respected certifications in sustainable textile production.
